Description

TOA Outgoing Longwave Radiation

W m-2

The Top-of-Atmosphere TOA Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) is the total amount of energy (thermally) emitted by the Earth and escaping toward the space. CF standard name for OLR is outgoing longwave radiation (Outgoing LW). This name is also used in the download form. This quantity is expressed as flux (density) in W m-2.

TOA Reflected Solar Flux

W m-2

The Top-of-Atmosphere (TOA) Reflected Solar Flux (RSF) quantifies the total amount of solar radiation which is reflected back to space by the Earth and its atmosphere. CF standard name for RSF is outgoing shortwave radiation (Outgoing SW). This name is also used in the download form. This quantity is expressed as flux (density) in W m-2.
